Caroline honed her expertise in the design of spaces for children and families while working at the Natural Learning Initiative at the College of Design at NCSU. Informed design of high-quality outdoor play and learning environments can lead to more time spent outdoors, improved physical and mental health, and a love of nature through natural play opportunities, sensory experiences, and exposure to plants and pollinators.
